Nestled between the Sylvia Tops and the Libretto mountain range - stunning alpine scenery, bush and rivers.

The Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre provides tailor-made outdoor education programmes for school and community groups, and offers a number of ‘Boyle’ courses for students. We also run expedition journeys and courses for adults. Any outdoor education idea – we can arrange it for you!

ACTIVITIES AND LEARNING: Our outdoor environment is full of opportunities for growth and adventure.We believe that working with others through challenges and activities in this environment, creates a rich learning environment for developing the NZ Curriculum Key Competencies, and other life skills,in students. We have a wide range of challenging outdoor activities for all levels. Instructors utilise group initiatives, low and high challenge course elements and many other activities to facilitate team building, problem solving, trust and communication and leadership. The experience allows individuals and teams to approach physical, social, mental and emotional challenges in a safe and secure setting.
The programme contains and uses outdoor activity experiences as a tool to develop different aspects of the individual and the group.

ACCOMMODATION: The Lodge sleeps 64 people on platform and individuals bunks(bunk rooms sleep 2-20
people). The spacious kitchenopens onto the lounge/dining area andhas gas and electric cooking facilities and a
steriliser. There isample refrigeration and freezer space and all necessary cooking and serving utensils for up to 70
people. The fully carpeted lounge is equipped with stacking chairs and folding tables providing amulti-use area. It
also has a data projector and DVD/VCR for presentations, slideshows, or movies via your own laptop. The space is
great for group discussions, games, study and lectures or relaxing.

SERVICES FOR TRAMPERS: Shuttles to local tracks, parking, backpacker accommodation, DOC Hut tickets, showers,
and food parcel storage are available on request.
