Houghtons Bush Camp, Muriwai Beach, is conveniently located just 40 minutes from downtown Auckland; and yet it’s a world away. The camp offers affordable accommodation and outdoor activities for groups in a private native forest setting.

• 86 beds
• Separate cooks quarters that will sleep six plus a First Aid room that can sleep two with their own ablution facilities
• 13 bunk rooms that sleep six each
• Heating available in the winter
• One separate lounge
• One hall to accommodate all. Heated when required
• Full paraplegic ablution facilities
• Full separate boys and girls ablution facilities

Year 2 upwards

• Note: A booking ‘day’ is from 4.30pm one day to 3pm the next day or anytime within that paid period you require

• Minimum day charge $750
• Site visits are welcome and can be arranged through the booking officer

• A walk that includes 490 steps to the top of the ridge starting from the beach mostly through bush with amazing views
• There is the Gannet Colony to visit
• At low tide you can walk through an amazing cave viewing starfish clinging to the rocks. Plenty more sought after archaeological rock formations
