Karanga Camp is located at Te Henga or Bethells Beach as it is more commonly known, on Auckland’s west coast. Set on twenty-five acres of lush native bush in the Waitakere Ranges, Karanga is the perfect location for school camps, family get togethers, community groups, business retreats and team building.

Location: 79 Te Henga Road, Bethells Beach, Waitakere Ranges.

Local attractions: Auckland Regional Parks located close by include Cascades which is a great place to see giant Kauri trees and is only five minutes away by car. Te Henga or Bethells Beach is a typical west coast surf beach with black sand and is approximately 10kms away or 15 minutes by car. Lake Wainamu fills a valley dammed by advancing sand dunes which are a dominant feature in the walk to the lake. The carpark and entrance to the lake is located about 1km before Bethells Beach.

• 4 cabin buildings with 2 rooms each. 7 rooms sleep 7 people, 1 room sleeps 5 people = 54 people
• 3 rooms off hall with 6 people per room = 18 people
• 17m x11m hall, three adjoining rooms or sleeping accommodation
• Not wheelchair accessible

Mattresses supplied, large dining hall with servery, kitchen equipped with six element commercial stove with fan forced oven, commercial toaster, stainless steel benches, commercial refrigerator, commercial steriliser, freezer, store room, continuous boiling water for tea and coffee, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery.

Recreation: Two playing fields and bush walks.

What you need to bring: Tea towels, towels, first aid kit, bedding, pillows, dish washing detergent, cleaning products and rubbish bags.
